The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – A Golden Bundle For Zelda Fans

by Yo Snyder

The Nintendo Wii has fallen on tough times of late with few games
releasing and the impending release of its successor giving people pause
about buying one, but I’m holding out hope that the Wii will go out in
style with one last epic to help solidify its legacy. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
may very much prove to be the swan song for Nintendo’s quirky little
console that could, and hopefully it will be all that we hope it will
be. As an added incentive to pick up what may be the last major release
on the Wii, Nintendo recently announced a new limited-edition bundle.

If
you’re willing to spend a little extra cash, you can get your Zelda
with an exclusive gold Wiimote Plus controller (an amusing note on the
press release clarified that the controller would only be gold in color
and will not be made of any actual gold; so for those of you planning to
retire with this thing – sorry). However, even if you don’t pony up the
cash for the gold controller, if you get one of the first-run copies of
the game, you’ll also get some free music. Both the limited-edition and
regular editions of the game in the initial production will come with a
free CD featuring some orchestral arrangements of familiar Zelda tunes.
These are some of the same selections that will be played by The Legend
of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony Concerts this Fall. Both the limited
and regular editions of Zelda: Skyward Sword are releasing November 20th.

So, given the choice, would you rather just have the game or would you like a fancy gold controller to go along with the game?
