Kung Fu Panda 2 – Finding Inner Peace

by Yo Snyder

Hebrews 13:20-21 “Now may the God of peace, who through the
blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that
great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will,
and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be
glory forever and ever. Amen.” The Dragon Warrior is back. That’s right, the
pudgy panda Po has returned for more awesomeness in Kung Fu Panda 2. Along with
lots more Kung fu action, there is also a desire in this movie for “inner
peace”. Truth be told, that’s something we’re all looking for, and the funny
thing is it’s fairly easy to find. However it doesn’t come from anything we can
achieve, accomplish or gain through our own efforts. No, it comes from knowing
the right Someone. We can find peace in God, and we find that peace in him
because when he’s in our lives, when we let his Spirit fill us, he displaces
all those things that can rob us of peace. Fear, worry, doubt, anxiety; what
place to those have in the presence of an Almighty God? None. And that friends
is where we find peace, in the presence and arms of our loving God. You don’t
need to be a Kun fu master to find inner peace; you just need to rest in the
God of peace. Isn’t that good news?
