Batman: Arkham City – Details On The Collector’s Set

by Yo Snyder

Details have finally been released on the Collector’s Edition for Batman: Arkham City. If you’re willing to plop down $100, here are the extra goodies you’ll find in the box:

A custom statue from Kotobukiya (it looks pretty cool, even cooler then the batarang you got with Arkham Asylum‘s
collector’s set), early access to the Iceberg Lounge challenge map, a
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns skin (presumably for use on the
challenge maps, which is cool, but how cool would it be if you could use
it in the game. That’s the one thing the first game lacked; alternate
costumes), a soundtrack with songs inspired by the game, the animated
movie Batman: Gotham Knight, and a few other goodies like an art book and what not.

All
in all, it’s not a bad set of goodies for the extra money. The statue
looks pretty cool, and the Dark Knight Returns skin is very cool. I’m
lukewarm about the soundtrack with “songs inspired by”, I’d rather just
have the soundtrack from the game. Also, I already own Gotham Knight,
but it’s still nice to include the whole movie for the few fans you
don’t already have it. What do you think? Excited about the collector’s
set? Excited for this game to get here already? If not, here’s a new
trailer to help with that.
